Having a new baby in the home is a big change for everyone.  Here are some tips to help you adjust to your new lifestyle:

• Sleep when Baby sleeps.
• Give Baby some Daddy time to create some alone time for yourself.
• The people of the house aren't the only ones who are affected by Baby's arrival.  Your pets are adjusting, too.  If this is your first child, Fido may not understand why he has taken a back seat to Baby.  Even though Baby is your first priority, you might be inclined to pay extra attention to your pet when you have time--in other words, when Baby is sleeping.  Resist this urge!  Fido needs to associate good things with Baby's presence, so give him attention when Baby is crying, and ignore him when Baby is sleeping.  It may be hard at first, but it will pay of in dog-baby-parent harmony in the near future.
