Jessica is passionate about the intersection of business and social responsibility. She contributed to the greater good through positions in government and non-profits and then began to see the potential to use business as a powerful tool to make a difference. She witnessed the movement of social entrepreneurs, inspirational people creating new ventures that could positively impact people's lives through business and decided on her path, that led her to meet Shazi in 2005.

Jessica was awarded the Park Leadership Fellowship, a full tuition merit scholarship focused on social responsibility that took her to business school at Cornell where she learned the skills necessary to make an impact in business with the dream of being on the same path as those entrepreneurs she admired. Before joining Shazi, Jessica worked on site at the national office of Whole Foods Market in Austin, TX where she was the Account Manager for SPINS, the leading information provider on the Natural Products Industry and its consumer dynamics.

Jessica holds a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from Cornell's Johnson School of Business. She lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband, Decker.
